My Refection

I was learning to relate to the characters in the text.

We have been reading George's Marvellous Medicine.  I thought of some words to describe grandma from what I learnt about her in the story.

I found this challenging because I ran out of words to describe her.

My next step is try and use more ideas and include the ideas that the author used in the story.

All about insect

My Reflection
I found this work interesting because it was factual and it taught me a lot about insect.
I would have liked to come up with more ideas for my time.
The best part of this is learning about insects and what they do.
My next step is continue reading more books.

I am learning to write a comparison about little red riding hood. also to see what is the difference about each one of the video.  And see witch one was the different about them.The hard part was to see find what was different about each of them.The next step is to try get more ideas in my comparsion.

We have been reading about a story called Quaky cat. We went to Te Tuhi and made some designs of our own from the story that we know of. Mine was Emma and the cat.  The hard bit was to find a picture and stick it on. The easy bit was to stick it on.

My Reflection

I have been learning to find information in a non-fiction book by skimming  and scanning.

Skimming is when we read quickly over a text or back to get an idea of what the book is about.
Scanning is when we look for specific information in a text and we look for key words or  phrases.
I read a book facts about bees.
I scanned the book facts about bees.
I budded up with Braxton to compare our animals using a Venn Digram.
I found this tricky to find idea that related  to my animals.

Making Inferences-Wold's Greatest Race

My Reflection

I am learning to make and justify inferences.
In this piece of works I had to use my inference skills to find out why the author thinks the Tour de France is the greatest race on earth.
I found this tricky because I had to look for information  but in your own words.
My next step is to put more information in my work.
I  am beginning to link implicit  information from the text to make an inference.

I have been learning to retell a story.
I think I retold the story Wheke in the right order.
I was surprised that I used the right amount of information.
I feel that I have achieved  my learning intention.
I found this work easy because the retelling was a bit easy and the pictures were to.
My next step for me is to find and summarise information in the text.
The tricky bit for me was to find the information in the book.
